The SIPOC Diagram

For the past few weeks, we have been really diving into Lean Six Sigma. It turns out that there has been a great deal of interest in this topic, if we are going by the amount of comments and questions I have had about the topic.  We are continuing our work of going through one of the foundational frameworks of Lean Six Sigma, the DMAIC (Define - Measure - Analyze - Improve - Control) Problem Solving Process.

Last week we talked about the project charter - a critical document that sets out the parameters of the problem solving process.  This week, we are going to dive deeper into the SIPOC diagram as we continue in the “Define” part of the DMAIC process.
